Abstract

The sorption extraction of neodymium ions was investigated both by individual polymeric hydrogels of polyacrylic acid (PAA), polymethacrylic acid (PMAA), poly-4vinylpyridine (P4VP) and poly-2-methyl-5-vinylpyridine (P2M5VP), and intergel systems prepared on their basis: gPAA-gP4VP; gPAA-gP2M5VP; gPMAA-gP4VP; gPMAKgP2M5VP. It has been established that a substantial increase in the sorption degree of neodymium ions by intergel systems, as compared with individual hydrogels, is probably associated with a high degree of ionization of hydrogels in the intergel system.
