Abstract

Catalytic oxidative transformation of 2-, 3- and 4-methylpyridines (MP) at presence vanadium oxide catalyst modified by additives of titanium and aluminum oxides were studied. According to the degree of conversion in the oxidation reaction, the isomers of methylpyridine are arranged in the following row: 4-MP> 2-MP> 3-MP. The nature of the influence of reaction conditions on the selectivity of the process is established.
